Contribute

Would you like to become an Ace Trainer? Well it’s easy, all you have to do is contribute to the site. Anyone can contribute and you can produce as little or as much content as you like. Find out more below and remember to contact Myles at myles.oneill@gmail.com if you have any questions or want to make a submission.

Why Contribute

The number one reason to get involved in Ace Trainer Australia is to have fun. Writing about Pokemon is often as much fun as playing Pokemon – great players need to think about a lot of things to do well and it makes sense to write those things down! Having other people read your work is a satisfying experience and it’s always great to meet people who know you through what you’ve written. In addition to all that, you’ll be helping us grow PTCG and will be a part of this exciting movement.

Ways to Contribute

To contribute you need to simply submit content to Myles. No signup or commitment is necessary, we can post as much or as little of your content as you like – as long as it is all PTCG related! There are a number of different types of content you can produce:

Written work is often the easiest to produce, and can be as simple as writing a tournament report for an event you attended. Other written content includes articles about strategy, decklists, the metagame, or general PTCG topics.

Videos are slightly more involved, but can often be easier to create once you’re used to the format. Videos can range from vlogs where you discuss the game, to footage of you playing the game (in person or online). You can do commentary on other matches you find online and you can even livestream to interact with your viewers more closely.

Finally, we are always looking for people to help us collect information about Australian tournament results. All you need to do is take photos of the brackets after Swiss and after Top Cut, as well as asking players where they live and what deck they are playing. We can’t be everywhere at once, so this sort of help is vital!

If you have any other ideas about how you can contribute we’re happy to hear them too. We’d love to get you involved and the more you do the more we’ll consult and involve you in the running of the site.

Exclusive vs. Reposted

Ace Trainer Australia is different from many sites in that we aren’t aiming to compete with other entities out there. Rather our goal is to share great content from wherever it is from, helping connect and grow all sites and sub-communities within PTCG. As such, content on the site is either “exclusive” (meaning it was posted here first) or “reposted” (meaning it was taken from another site). Feel free to contribute to our site with “resposted” content which is hosted on other sites, in fact we often prefer it! We get permission from authors and site owners before reposting content.
